Course Description
This lab course was developed to introduce basic problems in developmental biology by direct experimentation. The course uses frogs (Xenopus laevis), zebrafish (Danio rerio) and chick to demonstrate the usefulness of model systems in research. Both classical embryology and modern molecular manipulation of developing embryos are performed. The lab is accompanied by a 1hr and 50 minute per week interactive lecture and discussion period.
